Selenia Destefani is Nova Law Group CEO and a New Jersey and EOIR licensed attorney.
Selenia was born in Venice, Italy and lives currently in the New York Metropolitan Area. Selenia graduated from University of Verona, Italy with an MBA with specialization in International Business and a Bachelor in Foreign Languages.
Following college in Europe, she moved to the United States where she has been working in the immigration field for over seven years. Selenia graduated cum laude from St. Johns Law School and is a member of the New Jersey Bar Association and the American Immigration Lawyers Association. At Nova Selenia is the liaison between the firm and its clients. She fluently speaks English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, and French. With her multicultural background and a focus on immigration law and civil rights she aims at helping undocumented immigrant in their path to legalization. Selenia is also currently a dedicated pro bono attorney at KIND, Kids in need of defense.
Philip J. Velez is a New York licensed attorney and executive immigration office (EOIR). Attorney Philip graduated from the prestigious University of Maryland in 2006 and attended the Hofstra University of New York School of Law in 2013. He has traveled to Peru, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Ecuador, where he did social work. He worked at the Hofstra Political Asylum Clinic in 2006, where he represented a client in deportation and asylum proceedings for reasons of domestic violence. He worked as a Paralegal and Lawyer in a prestigious immigration office from 2013 to 2016.
With his years of experience, social work, and love for his profession, he now has his own law firm where he will work hard for her clients’ immigration, family, and criminal cases.
