Philip J. Velez, Esq.

Philip J. Velez is a New York licensed attorney and executive immigration office (EOIR). Attorney Philip graduated from the prestigious University of Maryland in 2006 and attended the Hofstra University of New York School of Law in 2013. He has traveled to Peru, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Ecuador, where he did social work. He worked at the Hofstra Political Asylum Clinic in 2006, where he represented a client in deportation and asylum proceedings for reasons of domestic violence. He worked as a Paralegal and Lawyer in a prestigious immigration office from 2013 to 2016.
With his years of experience, social work, and love for his profession, he now has his own law firm where he will work hard for her clients’ immigration, family, and criminal cases.

Jian Cheng, Esq.

Jian Chen was born in Peple Republic of China and lives currently in New York City.
She graduated from Fujian Normal University, China with a Bachelor of Law degree. Following college, she went to Europe and attended Utrecht University, the Netherlands, graduating with her first degree of Master of Law. And she received her second master of law degree from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, New York. She is admitted to practice law in China and New York. Jian practices in the areas of real estate transaction and immigration law.

Prior to studying law in New York, Jian worked as a junior corporate lawyer in AllBright Law Offices (Fuzhou, China). After graduating from Cardozo Law School, Jian served as a paralegal in Law Office of Jiali Pan & Associates, PLLC (Queens, New York), focusing on immigrant petitions. Jian volunteered in Jewish Association Servicing The Aging to provide landlord-tenant legal service to the seniors in New York City.

Selenia destefani

Selenia Destefani was born in Venice, Italy and lives currently in the New York Metropolitan Area. She graduated from University of Verona, Italy with an MBA with specialization in International Business and a Bachelor in Foreign Languages.
Following college in Europe, she moved to the United States where she has been working as immigration Law Clerk for over seven years. Selenia has graduated cum laude from St. John’s Law School with a Juris Doctor in May 2022 and she is currently awaiting admission to the NJ bar. At Nova Law Firm Selenia is the liaison between the firm and its clients. She fluently speaks English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, and French. With her multicultural background and a focus on immigration law and civil rights she aims at helping undocumented immigrant in their path to legalization. Hence, Selenia is currently a dedicated intern at the New York Catholic Charity – Immigration department.
